Terms and Conditions of the International Ecopsychology Society (IES)
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern membership and participation in the International Ecopsychology Society (IES), a non-profit association dedicated to promoting ecopsychology. Membership in the IES implies unconditional acceptance of these terms.
2. Definitions
IES: International Ecopsychology Society. Member: Any natural or legal person who has joined the IES and paid the membership fee. Ecotuner: Professional certified in ecopsychology by an IES School. Charter: National representative of the IES. Services: Set of activities, materials and resources made available to members by the IES, including, but not limited to, the newsletter, discounts, access to the Ecotuner directory and participation in events.
3. Objective of the Association
The objective of the IES is to promote ecopsychology, facilitate connections between professionals and support research in this field.
4. Membership
Membership modality: Membership in the IES is done by completing the online registration form and paying the membership fee. Membership categories: There are several membership categories (IES Friend, IES Ally, IES Student, Ecotuner, Charter, IES School Director), each with specific requirements and benefits. Renewal: Membership is for a period of 12 months and will be automatically renewed through PayPal, unless the member cancels this subscription in their own PayPal account.
5. Rights and Obligations of Members
Rights:
- Receive the IES newsletter.
- Participate in events organized by the IES.
- Benefit from discounts on activities and training.
- Access online resources exclusive to members.
Obligations:

- Use the IES services in accordance with these terms and conditions.
6. Use of Services
Restrictions: The use of IES services is reserved exclusively for members. Unauthorized commercial use or any activity that infringes the rights of third parties is prohibited.
Confidentiality: Members agree to maintain the confidentiality of information obtained within the framework of the IES.
Use of the IES logo and brand: The use of the logo and other visual identity elements of the IES is restricted and must comply with the guidelines established by the organization.
7. Payments and Automatic Renewal Policy
Payment of the membership fee is made annually (12 months) through the PayPal platform and is recurring by default. Members can cancel the automatic renewal for the following year directly from their PayPal account. No refunds will be made once the membership fee has been paid.
8. Modifications to the Terms and Conditions
The IES reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Modifications will be communicated to members through the newsletter or other communication channels.
9. Liability
The IES is not responsible for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of its services or participation in its activities. Each member is responsible for the proper use of the resources offered by the organization.
10. Termination of the Agreement
The membership may be terminated at any time by either party. In case of termination by the member, they must give 30 days’ notice. In case of breach of the IES ethical principles, the organization reserves the right to cancel the membership.
11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by Swiss law. For any dispute, the courts of Chiasso, Switzerland, shall have jurisdiction.
12. Privacy
The processing of members’ personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, available on the IES website.
