Information on the processing of personal data

Information on the processing of personal data in accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679

In accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) No 2016/679, also called the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as the “GDPR”), the Association International Society of Ecopsychology – IES informs you that your personal data (hereinafter referred to as the “Data”), will be processed in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR and any applicable legislation with reference to the processing of personal data in accordance with the following information.

  1. DATA PROCESSING OWNER. RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA PROTECTION

The Data Controller is the association IES – International Society of Ecopsychology, based in Valdani 1 – 6830 Chiasso, Switzerland (hereinafter referred to as the “Responsible”).

  1. CATEGORIES OF DATA

Data processed by the data controller includes:

(i) personal data (first name, surname, age, gender), residence or address and contact details (phone number, email address);

(ii) Zip code, IP address;

 

  1. OBJECT AND LEGAL BASIS OF PROCESSING

We use your data to send you our professional newsletter. Specifically for:

– Send you no more than 12 newsletters per year, if you have requested registration for the service, either as registration or via Mail Chimp;

– Communicate news of professional interest, related to the activities of the association;

– Perform analysis and reporting activities, such as detecting the number of open emails, clicks made on the links contents in the communication, the type of device used to read the communication and the relative operating system or list of unsubscribes from the newsletter.

Under no circumstances will your data be used for purposes other than those indicated.

The processing of your personal data for this purpose is based on your express, specific, free and informed consent.

N.B.: Data of people under the age of 16: if you are under 16 years old, you cannot provide us with any personal data and you cannot register in the newsletter and in any case we assume no responsibility for the false statements you provide. If we become aware of the existence of false statements, we immediatelly will proceed to the cancellation of the personal data acquired and unsuscribe from newsletter.

 

  1. HOW WE ENSURE YOUR DATA PROTECTION.

The processing of your data is carried out through appropriate platforms and computer tools to ensure its security, correctness and confidentiality and with the use of appropriate procedures that avoid or decrease the risk of loss, theft, unauthorized access, illicit use, unwanted changes and dissemination.

The data will be processed exclusively for the purposes referred to in Article 3. Only the data strictly necessary to achieve the aforementioned purpose are collected and processed during the period indicated in Article 7.

 

  1. POSSIBLE RECIPIENTS OR CATEGORIES OF RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA AND COMMUNICATION TO THIRD PARTIES

The controller (or third parties under his liability) uses processors to achieve the purpose specified in point 3, in any case appropriate to ensure the adoption of appropriate technical and organizational measures to satisfy compliance with privacy legislation.

In particular, your data may be disclosed to service providers for newsletter management and the other said purposes.

Without your consent, the data collected may be communicated to administrative and judicial authorities and authorities under legal obligations.

 

  1. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

Your personal data will not be transferred to any entities in countries outside the European Union area.

 

  1. HOW AND FOR HOW LONG WILL YOUR DATA BE SAVED?

We retain your data until you cancel the service. If you do not take any active action (e.g. open emails) for 24 months, you will be classified as an inactive user and your personal data will be automatically deleted.

 

  1. IS THE PROVISION OF DATA MANDATORY?

The provision of your personal data is necessary since in the absence of communication we cannot guarantee the provision of the requested service.

 

  1. HOW CAN YOU HAVE INFORMATION ABOUT THE DATA, MODIFY IT, DELETE IT OR HAVE A COPY?

In this paragraph we explain which rights privacy law recognizes and how you can exercise them.

 

9.1. Right of access.

You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not your data is being processed and, in this case, to access such data and the following information:

– the purposes of processing;

– the categories of personal data processed;

– the recipients or categories of recipients to which personal data have been communicated or will be predictably communicated;

– the period of retention of personal data provided, where possible, or the criteria used

 

9.2. Right of rectification

You can request at any time the correction of your data by sending an email to ies@ies.bio

 

9.3. Right of cancellation

Data deletion can be requested if one of the following reasons exists:

– If your personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was collected or processed;

– If you have revoked the consent on which the processing is based and there is no other legitimate reason for the processing;

– If you object to processing and there is no other legitimate reason to continue processing;

– If your personal data has been processed illegally;

– Whether your personal data must be deleted in order to comply with a legal obligation under Union or Member State legislation to which the data controller is subject;

– If your personal data has been collected in connection with the offer of information society services to minors.

If any of the above reasons exist, you can request the cancellation of your data by sending an email to ies@ies.bio expressing your request and the reasons that support that request.

 

9.4. Right to limitation

You can get treatment limitation if there is at least one of the following hypotheses:

– If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data, for the period necessary for the data controller to verify the accuracy of such personal data;

– If the processing is illegal and you object to the deletion of personal data and, on the other hand, request that its use be limited;

– When the data are necessary for you to determine, exercise or defend a right in court, as long as the controller no longer serves the purpose of the processing;

– Where you have objected to the processing and are waiting for the necessary checks to determine whether the legitimate reasons of the controller prevail over those of the data subject.

9.5. Right to Object

You can object to the processing of your personal data at any time:

– quoting legitimate reasons relating to its particular situation, or where the processing is necessary for the performance of a task in the public interest, carried out for scientific, historical or statistical research purposes or related to the exercise of the public authority conferred on the controller or even if the processing is necessary for the search for the legitimate interest of the data controller or third parties , even where profiling is provided for in the context of such processing.

– in the case of processing for direct marketing activities (including profiling related to direct marketing).

9.6. Right to portability

Where technically possible, you have the right to receive personal data concerning you and that you provide to the data controller in a structured, commonly used and readable format by an automatic device if:

– processing is based on your consent or a contract

– the processing is carried out by automated means.

The exercise of the right to portability does not affect the right of cancellation.

You can exercise the right to portability by sending an email to ies@ies.bio expressing your request and the reasons that support that request

 

9.7. Right to withdraw consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking on the link in the footer of the newsletter.

 

9.8. Right to denunciation

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority in the manner indicated on the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data website accessible at: www.garanteprivacy.it.
